A musical and dramatic spectacle of the inner journey of a war veteran of our times returning from Afghanistan; a book, Don Quixote, is his companion.
Flamenco dances and sorrowful songs, Turkish rhythms and chants, and Renaissance European music are intertwined as the story unfolds. From the series Cervantine Stories, Quixotic Moments to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the publication of Don Quixote de la Mancha
(1615–2015).
Featuring Eloy Cruz, baroque violin, Mexico; Ismael “El Bola,” flamenco singer, Spain; and Mehmet Ali Sanliko, Mediterranean music performer, Turkey. This event is free and open to the public at the Tsai Performance Center Thursday, April 16th at 7:30pm.
