Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month Exhibit:  Asian Americans in Brookline; Curator: Chris Chanyasulkit

May is Asian American & Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. At 15.6% of the population, Asians are the largest and fastest-growing minority group in Brookline. The largest AAPI ethnic group is Chinese (47%), followed by Asian Indian (17%), Korean (15%) and Japanese (11%). With many ethnicities and languages in Brookline, the AAPI community is dynamic and vibrant. This exhibit shares with you a few artifacts, objects, books, photographs and much more from some of your Brookline friends and neighbors to highlight and celebrate the diversity within our town.

Please join the Brookline Asian American Family Network (BAAFN) and the Brookline Department of Public Health and Human Services on May 8th at 6pm at the Brookline Interactive Group (46 Tappan Street, Top Floor) to celebrate AAPI Month!
