Brookline Artist Diane Chester-Demicco specializes in kilncast and coldworked sculptural glass. Her artwork reflects her great passion for the natural world, both existent and fantasized. Almost every day she explores local trails, gathering inspiration that she incorporates into glass (and more recently, bronze and aluminum). She especially enjoys walking through our local sanctuaries filled with Roxbury “Puddingstone” Conglomerate, the State Rock of Massachusetts. By removing the original rocks and replacing them with copies made of glass and metal, she brings unexpected sparkle and beauty to this otherwise dull-colored stone.
