The Funkestra is a prominent groove jazz/funk band from London, England. The group features intricate and masterfully arranged groove music. For years, Funkestra has proudly welcomed illustrious guest musicians and this latest incarnation is no exception. On April 12, RB Funkestra features cast of funk luminaries—such as renowned drummer Mike Sturgis (David Bowie, Elton John, A-ha, Asia, Steve Winwood, Tom Jones, and many more). The group will be joined by Ellis room regular Dave Limina (Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters) and Tenor Sax phenom Tucker Antell. Don’t miss this very special, rare and intense night of groovy jams!
