MetroWest Opera Annual Competition Final Concert

MetroWest Opera was created to provide quality performance opportunities for emerging young opera singers, while enriching the arts community in Boston’s MetroWest area. Since 2008, MetroWest Opera has delighted audiences with operas such as Massenet’s Cendrillon, Mozart’s Magic Flute and Don Giovanni, Ravel’s L’enfant et les sortileges, Mozart’s The Impresario, Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, and Moore’s Gallantry. More recently MetroWest Opera has presented Bizet’s Carmen, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti. MetroWest Opera is always seeking new ways to expand upon their mission, and thus the Annual Competition was born five years ago!
The final round concert of the Annual Competition will be presented to the public at All Saints Parish in Brookline:
6-10 singers will be selected as finalists for the High School and Young Artist Divisions, and 10-14 singers will be selected as finalists for the Emerging Artist Division.
4:00 PM to 5:00 PM – High School Division FINALS
5:00 PM to 6:15 PM – Young Artist Division FINALS
5:00 PM to 6:15 PM – Young Artist Division FINALS
6:30 PM to 8:00 PM – Emerging Division FINALS
