The Puppeteers of New England Series will feature 7 titles from puppeteers from all over New England.  This series leads up to Puppet Showplace Theatre’s 40th Anniversary celebration on June 2.  This week features Vermont and the National Marionette Theatre  with “Beauty and the Beast.”

About the show: A handsome prince of the realm is changed into a hideous beast by an evil enchantment. The only way to reverse the spell is for someone to fall in love with him and agree to marry him. Will a beautiful young woman be able to see past his transformed appearance and love him for who he truly is inside? National Marionette Theatre’s retelling of this classic tale features meticulously crafted marionettes, beautifully painted scenery, and a classical music score.
