Brookline Open House

October 16, 2025 @ 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm

The first Brookline Open House on Station Street will be held on October 16th, during the regularly scheduled Third Thursday in Brookline Village.

We too often hear from our Brookline neighbors that they had no idea they have their very own burgeoning arts district in Brookline Village.  Come on over to Station Street to see this wonderful place for yourself!

We have a great line-up so far for this coming Third Thursday and more coming. Gateway Arts, Station Street Studios, Andem Art Studios, Liz Linder Photography Studio, Feet of Clay, Village Works, and Hipstitch will all be open and offering free creative activities for visitors.

9-21 Station Street

At Gateway Arts at 15 Station Street, from 5 – 8 pm, visitors can see Giant, a new Gallery exhibition featuring large-scale painting, drawing, & sculpture, accompany Gateway artists on tours of their new studios, and discover the eclectic offerings in the new Gateway Arts Store.

Upstairs on the second floor in Suite 202 at 17 Station Street, 5 – 8 pm, visit 14 artists and their beautiful studios at Station Street Studios. Their October programming will be colorful and informative, with several tables set up for free fabric stamping using handmade stamps. Other artmaking demonstrations will be happening here as well.  Visit this wonderful studio to make a one-of-a-kind creation and get a glimpse of the 1969 French Tool printing press with the giant wheel!  Refreshments available, kids are welcome.

Andem Art Studios, also on the second floor at 17 Station Street, will host a clay tile carving workshop, 5 – 8 pm! Swing back to Suite 206 to create your own custom tile or two that we will use to create our tile mural outside our studio next spring! Limit to 15-20 people, so be sure to stop in early.

Liz Linder will open her spectacular photography studio in Suite 401 on the 4th Floor from 5-8 pm.  Stop by to see portrait work, creative projects, and for conversation! Take the elevator from the lobby to 4 and proceed through the corridor following the signs. Note there are a few stairs to enter the studio.

Don’t forget Feet of Clay, on the first floor of 21 Station Street, for a free clay hand building demo and two hours of your own creation. Led by instructor William Poon, students can sculpt their own work of art using clay and minimal tools. After you make your object, leave it for us to glaze and fire for you for a small fee. Up to 20 students are accommodated, so come early!

All studios at 15-21 Station Street are fully accessible, with the elevator in the main lobby.

Washington Street at Station Street

A few steps away at The Village Works (202 Washington Street), Daphne Strassman will be leading Rekindle Your Craft: Creative Writing for All Writers from 6:30-8. Just show up with whatever you write with to dive into focused writing time and connect with fellow writers.  All levels celebrated! No charge.

Next door at the wonderful Hipstich (194 Washington St), you will find a fun fabric collage workshop from 5:30-8.  All materials provided and no experience necessary.  No charge.

32 Station Street After 8PM
