Fabric Printing Using Traditional Stamp Method
October 18 @ 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Instructor: Amy Browning
Considered pure joyful and creative fun by everyone who has tried it, fabric printing using rubber blocks is now available as a workshop that provides enough time to create a set of towels or napkins.
Agenda/Topics Covered
Participants will have time to explore traditional fabric printing using carved rubber stamps available at the studio or that can be carved during the workshop. Cotton tea towels or lunch napkins will be available to practice with and then to produce colorful additions to your decor. Or consider them paintings!
We will try pattern as well as free form fabric stamping. Cotton tea towels and napkins will be provided along with fabric paints and stamps. Participants may carve their own stamps as well as use many hand pre-carved stamps available at the studio.
Special Instructions
All needed supplies are provided to create a pair of towels or a set of four napkins, plus a practice towel. Participants are welcome to bring clean light colored or white cotton T-shirts to print on if they wish.
